When it comes to being a Man you can get very different opinions and views on what it is to act like a Man. Part of being a man is practicing honesty. Telling things to others that maybe hurtful. He defines honesty as being a man.
It is crucial to solidify what it is to be a Man in your own mind. This is called Penis identity. Identifying yourself as being a Man. You define yourself as a Man through your own beliefs as to what it is that makes a Man a Man.
My beliefs in being a Man is:
- One who is honest. No matter whether the truth hurts or rewards.
- Who knows what he likes and dislikes.
- Loves the company of a quality woman.
- Loves and respects his own himself.
- Keeps his life private from those he does not trust.
- Keeps his word and follows through on what he says.
- Loves those close to him. Family, friends etc.
- Takes responsibility in the relationship between himself and a woman. From sex, maintaining her reputations etc.
- Make a woman feel special.
These are a few things I define as being a man.
A good exercise is to write a list down of what it is to be a Man. Write down everything you deem to be true. You might test the ones you write down but get it out there. You might realise that the ones you've written down you end up crossing out as it does not relate to being a man. Others you may need to test. It might be something you need to address.
For example: I used to think that part of being a Man is pleasing a woman and making her happy. I believe this to be untrue. I have learnt that being a Man your duty is to make her feel special. Its her own job to make sure she is happy just as it is as a Man for his own self. By being present with a woman and allow her to be present with you.
Enjoy the exercise and allow yourself to love what it means to be a Man which you defined.
